COSMETIC TATTOOING FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • You must be at least 18 years old to receive a cosmetic tattoo. This is a legal requirement and ensures that clients are mature enough to make an informed decision about the procedure.

  • The longevity of your cosmetic tattoo depends on your skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare. Typically, results last 1-3 years, with a refresh recommended every 12-18 months to maintain the best appearance.

  • Everyone’s pain tolerance is different, but most clients describe the sensation as mild to moderate discomfort. You’ll need to provide your own numbing cream (from a compound chemist) to ensure your comfort during the procedure. You can order some from here: https://www.compoundingpharmacy.com.au/pages/patient-care-checklist

  • Healing typically takes 7-10 days, during which the area may feel tender, and you might experience some flaking or scabbing. Following the aftercare instructions I provide is essential for the best results.

  • No, I cannot perform cosmetic tattooing on clients who are pregnant or breastfeeding. This is for your safety and to ensure the best outcomes.

  • Avoid blood thinners (like aspirin or alcohol) for at least a week before your appointment. You’ll also need to complete mandatory consultation documents 48 hours prior and bring your own numbing cream. This can be ordered from a compound chemist
